Campaign Story

We are the Turpin family, Beth and Kyle. From the beginning of our relationship, we knew we wanted to grow our family. Although we haven’t had any human children together…yet. Kyle was a package deal and came with two amazing boys and Beth had a fur baby. While trying to conceive, we added another fur baby to our family.
We have always been very opened about our struggles with getting pregnant. Infertility is defined as not being about to get pregnant after one year of unprotected sex. We have been trying to conceive a human baby for many years…every month hoping that this was going to be the month that Beth would be pregnant.
After almost 6 years filled with months of tears, negative pregnancy tests and disappointment…we decided that it was finally time to seek help from a fertility specialist. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Unexplained infertility is when infertility testing has not found a cause to explain a person or couples infertility. Our doctor told us that we have a 1% of chance of conceive at home without fertility treatment. Thankfully 30 isn’t as bad as Beth had thought and age is still on our side! So we have two treatment options… medicated intrauterine insemination (IUI) which gives us a better chance of being pregnant. And the second option is in vitro fertilization (IVF) which is the most effective and successful option but it does come at a higher cost. And unfortunately our insurance does not cover any fertility treatment.
Since we have always been very opened about our struggles we plan on giving updates on our journey.
